In an uncontested divorce Hoffman & Hoffman will quote a flat fee plus costs to facilitate and expedite the uncontested and amicable settlement. This is the most affordable way to get divorced, but it still requires the filing of the Petition for Dissolution, Answer and Waiver, full disclosure via the financial affidavits and compliance with mandatory exchange of tax returns and statements of assets and debts, an agreed to marital settlement agreement and the judgment of divorce. A hearing will still be held to finalize the matter and the Judge will require proof that the agreement is fair and reasonable that the mandatory jurisdictional requirements have been met. The flat fee divorce will be determined by the amount of the assets and debts, whether there are children involved requiring a parenting plan and child support, and whether the agreement is complicated or relatively simple.
